BDS

The BDS curriculum covers a wide range of subjects, including dental anatomy, physiology, histology, oral pathology, oral medicine, dental materials, periodontology, endodontics, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and public health dentistry. Students learn about the structure and function of the oral cavity, various dental diseases and their management, dental procedures, and preventive dentistry.

It is a comprehensive program that focuses on dental sciences, oral health, and the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of dental diseases. BDS programs emphasize practical training and clinical experiences. Students gain hands-on experience in dental procedures, patient examination and diagnosis, dental radiography, dental anesthesia, and various dental treatments. They work under the supervision of experienced dental faculty and participate in clinical rotations in dental clinics and hospitals. Upon completion of the BDS program, graduates are awarded the title of "Dentist" and become eligible to practice dentistry. They can work as general dentists in private dental clinics, dental hospitals, or join public health initiatives. Some graduates may choose to specialize in specific fields of dentistry through postgraduate education and training.
